Orocobre teams up with Bateman Advanced Technologies on lithium hydroxide plant

The staggered process could lead to the construction of a 15-25,000 tpa lithium hydroxide plant in the second half of 2017 which would make use of BAT’s proprietary conversion process. The agreement is subject to a number of reviews.

Orocobre Ltd announced that it has begun an investigation into the commissioning of a 15-25,000 tpa lithium hydroxide plant in partnership by Bateman Advanced Technologies (BAT), on which building work would begin in the second half of 2017.
