Chemours breaks ground on Chinese HFO production facility

With the spotlight on HFC reduction and a move to low global warming potential solutions for refrigerants, Chemours is confident that demand for its HFO-based products will continue to grow.

The Chemours Co. has begun constructing the world’s first full scale hydrofluoroolefin (HFO)-1336mzz production facility with its partner, Changshu 3F Zhonghao in Changshu, Jiangsu province, China.

HFO-1336mzz production is expected to begin in mid-2017 and will help to increase production capacity of low global warming potential (GWP) foam expansion...
