TZMI 2015: IHS Automotive offers gloomy outlook for Chinese TiO2

Automotive coatings represent an important consuming industry for titanium dioxide, but overcapacity in China and slowing economic growth is likely to erode demand from the sector in the next few years.

Global industry consulting group IHS has warned that slowing economic growth in China will have a damaging effect on industrial activity, including demand for light automotive vehicles, creating weaker demand conditions for titanium dioxide (TiO2).
