China to strengthen rare earth exploration and mining regulations

Extra restrictions are to come into force to further tie down rare earths production to only the big six producers in China.

The Chinese Ministry of Land and Resources has announced further regulations regarding the procedure of mining and exploration for rare earths.

The additional regulations will be implemented to close any loopholes regarding rare earths production not carried out by the big six Chinese rare earths producers.
