US Congress gives green light to new space mining bill

A new bill passed by the US Congress has allowed space mining companies the right to mineral deposits in space — home to a variety of resources including rare earths and olivine.

The US Congress has approved legislation to enable companies to own resources that are extracted from asteroids.
