Altech to shift proposed kaolin plant from Australia to Malaysia

The Australian company has completed detailed design and optimisation work for its proposed high purity alumina project. After analysing results from its design study, Altech has decided to build its kaolin beneficiation plant in Malaysia instead of Australia.

Altech Chemicals Ltd will change the location of its proposed kaolin beneficiation plant from Meckering, Western Australia, to the same site as its planned high purity alumina (HPA) facility in Johor, Malaysia, after results from its optimisation work found the relocation will help reduce costs.
