Falling sales and prices drag down China’s antimony trioxide market

Slowing demand from end markets is failing to keep pace with capacity while softening ingot prices are eroding trioxide selling values.

Antimony trioxide (Sb2O3) producers in China’s Hunan province have said that production halts implemented during the first quarter of this year have failed to prevent prices from sliding, as sales of the flame retardant chemical have declined to unsustainable levels.
