Received wisdom on potash markets is “flawed” – Highfield

Most market observers understand the potash industry to be suffering from severe overcapacity, but this interpretation of the supply and demand structure of the market is seriously flawed – and flawed enough for a low cost competitor to join the club of producers, according to Highfield Resources.

ASX-listed potash junior Highfield Resources Ltd has claimed that general understanding of the world’s potash markets is lacking, owing to a number of product definition and foreign exchange factors.
