Iran to encourage investors to shift attention away from oil to focus on mining

Like other Middle Eastern nations, Iran is attempting to diversify its economy away from oil and gas and focus more on the development of mining activities. An official from the country’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has said that mining could offer Iran more opportunities than oil.

Iran is encouraging foreign and domestic investors to help develop its mining sector by shifting its focus away from oil and urging it to concentrate on the country’s minerals, according to the country’s Deputy Minister for Industry, Mine and Trade, Mojtaba Khosrowtaj.
