Mining companies urged to innovate in preparation for commodity rebound

China’s economic slowdown is contributing to the commodity downcycle and nobody seems sure when it will end. Yet, new research from Deloitte warns that mining companies will need to find innovative ways of making productivity gains in order to survive the downturn and be ready for the uptick.

The mining industry needs to continue to invest in innovative ideas to operate efficiently in order to survive the current commodity downcycle and prepare for an eventual rebound, according to a new report by global accountancy firm, Deloitte.
