Oman to get new investor-friendly mining law

The Middle East country is undergoing extensive legislative mining reform to provide an attractive environment for direct foreign investment. Oman is waiting for the relevant ministries to approve its new mining law and is aiming to diversify away from oil.

Oman’s new mining law, which was recently drafted by the country’s mining department, will help attract foreign investment, develop the sector and drive economic growth, according to Oman’s Minister for Commerce and Industry, Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb.
