Israel Chemicals to establish “very competitive” Namibian phosphate JV

Namibia’s offshore phosphate reserves have garnered substantial interest in the last ten years, with most global resources residing in only one country – Morocco. ICL has established a JV with an expert in Namibian marine mining to push research on the phosphates deposits forward.

Tel Aviv-based Israel Chemicals Ltd (ICL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LLNP Ltd, a Namibian subsidiary of the international investment and holding company Leviev Group.
