Altech expands kaolin operations in Western Australia

The company is beefing up its kaolin operations in Australia. Altech is hoping that it can provide this material as feedstock for its firm’s proposed Malaysian high purity alumina project.

Altech Chemicals Ltd has expanded its kaolin operations in Western Australia (WA) with the grant of a new exploration licence.

The licence covers an area of around 480km2, is on freehold agricultural land and contains an inferred kaolin mineral resource of 85m tonnes at 85.1% brightness.
