US Soda ash royalty rates unchanged by spending bill

Despite efforts by politicians to cut the tax on the mineral, there was no reduction made to soda ash royalties in the House’s omnibus spending bill.

An omnibus spending bill published by the US House of Representatives this week did not include a lowering of federal royalty rates on the production of soda ash.
