Madras High Court seeks further probe into VV Minerals beach sand case

The Indian justice administrator has suspended an order in support of miner VV Minerals regarding the payment of central excise duty for mining of beach sand minerals, following a complaint raised by the Commissioner of Central Excise.

India’s Madras High Court has put on hold an order it passed in favour of Tamil Nadu-based beach sand miner, VV Minerals, saying that further investigation was necessary into the duty payments case brought by the Commissioner of Central Excise.
