First miners trapped in Cargill salt mine are rescued

Emergency services have been working with mine staff and have rescued the first four of 17 miners trapped in Cargill’s salt mine in Lansing, New York.

The first four of 17 miners trapped in Cargill’s Lansing salt mine in the US state of New York (NY) have been brought up to the surface, according to reports from the Ithaca NY Fire Department.
