Trimex to expand heavy mineral operations in India

The company has received government approval for its mining projects at Bhavanapadu and Kalingapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, which could see another 14m tpa heavy mineral sands reach the market in the medium term.

Indian mineral sand producer Trimex Group has received approval from the state government of Andhra Pradesh to develop beach sand heavy mineral projects at Bhavanapadu and Kalingapatnam in the state’s Srikakulam district.

The expansion will cost Indian rupee (INR) 2,500 crore ($374m*) and will add 14m tpa heavy mineral sands...
