Sika board “surprised” Saint-Gobain takeover attempt persists

The Swiss firm’s CEO was reluctant to speculate on possible repercussions should the merger proceed, however any definitive outcome is unlikely for another two years as the case makes its way through the Swiss courts.

The board of Swiss construction company Sika AG reiterated objections to a proposed takeover by French rival Saint-Gobain SA during a results conference call today.
