Overcapacity in Chinese fluorochemicals dampens acidspar sales

Domestic oversupply in China’s fluorochemical sector has dragged down consumption rates, causing producers to flood export markets with excess production.

Congestion in the global fluorine supply chain has forced operating rates in China’s aluminium fluoride (AlF3) sector to drop to as low as 45%, preventing acid grade fluorspar (acidspar) producers from offloading excess production.
