Luxembourg aims to set out rights to asteroid minerals

The small European nation believes that by establishing a legal framework for asteroid mining, investors will feel more confident about backing space mineral exploration.

Luxembourg is seeking to become a hub for space mineral exploration with the launch of a new initiative focused on mining asteroids.

The Grand Duchy’s SpaceResources,lu initiative, unveiled today, aims to develop a legal framework to define future ownership of materials extracted from asteroids and other similar near earth objects (NEOs)....
