Noranda to double non-met alumina capacity in restructuring

The US aluminium producer is seeking to reroute the alumina it produces to speciality non-metallurgical markets as it idles its smelter as part of a bankruptcy filing submitted this week.

Tennessee, US-based aluminium producer, Noranda Aluminium Holding Corp. is set to double its non-metallic alumina capacity as part of restructuring operations under a bankruptcy filing made earlier this week.
