Imerys ducks declining paper market with two deals for new cost-cutting process

The French industrial mineral specialist will supply its mineral/micro-fibrillated cellulose (MFC) product to two new customers, one in Asia and one in the US, and says that falling consumption of paper and subsequent price pressure has created an opening for novel technologies that improve manufacturing efficiency.

Imerys SA has signed two separate commercial agreements to supply its mineral/micro-fibrillated cellulose (MFC) product, FiberLean, to two leading papermakers, one based in Asia and the other in the southeast US.
