Kenya Fluorspar halts operations in response to challenging market conditions

Falling demand and prices for fluorspar have forced the Kenyan miner to suspend operations again, taking 77,000 tpa out of the market as the company struggles to compete in an increasingly competitive market.

Kenya Fluorspar Ltd has suspended operations at its processing plant in Kimwarer, western Kenya, in response to shrinking demand and low prices for fluorspar, taking more than 77,000 tonnes of material off the market.
