Zircon prices remain flat as hopes of rebound fade

Slight downward adjustment at the end of 2015 just starting to be reflected in contracts, but prices are not expected to erode further.

Zircon producers have given up on securing higher prices for the ceramic and refractory mineral before the end of the current quarter and are pessimistic about gains in the first half of this year.

Industry sources told IM tat prices for standard grade material (min 66.5% ZrO2) remain between $950/tonne and $1,050/tonne...
