MRC increases 2015 mineral sands sales and profit

While production failed to meet targets as a result of industrial action and other issues faced by MRC, the South African mineral sands manager managed to increase revenue and profit from sales. It will now need to seek an offtake partner for its ilmenite product, none of which was sold in 2015 as a result of the difficult market.

Mineral Commodities Ltd (MRC) has reported total sales of mineral sands products from its Tormin project in South Africa at $46.2m.

Profit after tax for the year stood at $10.6m, up from 2014 profit of $8.38m and a loss of $1.6m in 2013.
