Himachal Pradesh government gives go ahead for salt mine restart

The northern Indian state has granted permission for Hindustan Salts to reopen a rock salt operation with an investment of $34m.

Hindustan Salts Ltd, an Indian state owned salt miner, is to restart operations in the northern province of Himachal Pradesh, following receipt of local government approval.
