Former Chilean premier submits statement in SQM payment case

Sebastien Pineca was called upon to give evidence in the ongoing investigation into political payments from the miner to former senator Pablo Longueira. Separately, two directors of the company have resigned.

Sebastien Pineca, former president of Chile, has submitted testimony in an ongoing case surrounding payments by Chilean lithium, potash and iodine miner, Sociedad de Quimica y Minera SA (SQM) to former Union Democrata Independiente (UDI) senator, Pablo Longueira.
