Quality controls intensify for China’s refractories

Chinese refractory operators are paying greater attention to the quality profile of products manufactured in the country, while investments are taking place to take production profile up a notch.

China’s Shanxi and Sichuan provinces have recently conducted a quality inspection of local refractory productions, detecting quality failures of 4.1% and 4% of samples respectively.

According to the Shanxi Provincial Quality and Technology Supervision Bureau, 74 batches of refractory bricks from 37 companies were inspected.
