Mexican acidspar exports weak against high prices

Mexico’s trade data for acid grade fluorspar points to a difficult market scenario as total export volumes show a declining trend since the start of 2016 against higher average unit values.

Trade data from Mexico illustrates a 9.5% rise year-on-year (y-o-y) in acid grade fluorspar (acidspar) exports to 93,620 tonnes for the first four months of 2016, compared with 85,506 tonnes exported between January and April in 2015.

However, these figures were down 46% compared with 174,125 tonnes...
