India’s mineral production index up by 4.7% in June 2016

The commodities market in India has been on a slow yet steady growth path as the country’s mineral production index for the mining and quarrying sector has increased by 4.7% y-o-y for the third consecutive month of fiscal year 2016-2017.

The mineral production index for India's mining and quarrying sector was 127.3 in June 2016, up 4.7% year-on-year (y-o-y), according to the country's Ministry of Mines.
