Flat glass expansion to continue unabated

Global demand for flat glass is forecast to continue increasing as end markets in electronics and energy applications expand, although the pace of growth is expected to decelerate compared with previous years due to the slowdown in China. With insufficient supply, higher prices will be a concern.

Demand for flat glass is forecast to grow by 5% per year globally to a total value of $94bn by 2020, on the back of strong demand from manufacturing hubs in south-east Asia and end markets including manufacturing, electronics and energy....
