Irish salt producer gains from extreme weather

Ireland’s only salt producing company reported a 60% year-over-year increase in turnover for the last fiscal year as icy conditions lead to increased demand for de-icing salt produced from its Kilroot mine. Improved profits largely came on the back of sluggish growth registered in previous years owing to mild winters.
