Fresh ownership of the Chilean miner may end an ongoing legal battle with the state, allowing the company expand its operations, sources have told IM.
A change in controlling ownership of SQM
could result in an end to the ongoing dispute between Sociedad
Quimica y Minera SA (SQM) and state economic body Corporacion
de Fomento de la Produccion (CORFO).
SQM, a producer of lithium, iodine, potash and phosphate,
has been at loggerheads with the state body...
