Iofina’s loss widens as iodine prices remain low

The second largest iodine producer in the US saw its bottom line slip further due to the weak pricing environment, despite increased revenues.

US-based iodine producer Iofina Plc saw its loss for H1 2016 grow to $2.199m.

Impairment expenses of $469m, coupled with low prices, cancelled out the benefits of a 5% revenue increase to $11.58m.
