Samsung cuts Q3 earnings over Note 7 wind down

As Samsung stops production of the mobile device and slashes earnings over safety concerns, players in the lithium market remained unfazed regarding the potential of any knock-on effects to consumer perception of lithium-ion technology.

Korean technology company Samsung Electronics today, 12 October, reduced its Q3 profit guidance by a third in the wake of further issues surrounding its Galaxy Note 7 mobile device.
