Baker Hughes to absorb GE’s oil and gas business

Following its failed merger with Halliburton earlier this year, Baker Hughes has now signed an agreement with GE Oil & Gas to combine with the company’s energy business in order to create a leading global oilfield technology provider.

Oilfield services provider Baker Hughes Inc. has entered into an agreement with GE Oil & Gas to combine GE’s oil and gas business with Baker Hughes to create a world-leading oilfield technology provider.
