Tronox narrows loss as pigment prices rise y-o-y

Although lower CP titanium slag and pig iron volumes brought down revenue in the company's titanium dioxide segment, improving sentiment in the pigments sector helped to grow sales as prices rose year-on-year.

Tronox has reported a net loss of $42m for Q3, an improvement on the same period a year previously, as pigment prices saw a year-on-year (y-o-y) rise for the first time since the third quarter of 2012.
