Albemarle's lithium revenue up 30% in Q3

The chemicals producer saw its lithium sales and earnings pick up, but not to the dramatic extent of some of its rivals.

Albemarle Corp. reported an increase in lithium revenue of 30% year-on-year (y-o-y) in Q3 2016, while EBITDA* rose 32%.

Its Q3 lithium net sales and adjusted EBITDA figures – $166.406m and $68.637m, respectively – were markedly higher than last year, as a flurry of activity in the lithium market over the past year...
