India to subsidise fertiliser shipping

Government to give subsidies to coastal and inland phosphate and potash shipments.
The Indian government plans to extend its nutrient-based
transport subsidy policy to cover coastal and inland shipping
of fertiliser minerals, including phosphate and potash.
The ministry of shipping hopes to boost fertiliser movement by
ship to help meet growing demand from the agricultural sector
and reduce logistics costs.
