Rio sacks minerals boss amid Guinea scandal

Alan Davies is to be dismissed, following his suspension last week. Bold Bataar, managing director of iron ore sales and marketing will succeed him.

Anglo-Australian miner Rio Tinto Plc has let go Alan Davies, its Energy and Minerals CEO, following an internal investigation into payments made over the Simandou iron ore project in Guinea.
