Outotec begins process to cut 200 jobs

The Finnish mining technology producer has said it is looking to restructure and streamline its business owing to a prolonged weak market situation in metals refining, which could result in the loss of 200 positions in Germany, Finland and other countries.

Finnish mining technology provider Outotec Oyj has started employee negotiations to cut up to 200 positions in order to streamline the business in Finland and Germany.

"Outotec continues to adjust its operations due to prolonged weak market situation for the metals refining solutions," the company said in a statement today.
