Phosphate '16: Chinese fertiliser output cut to support phosphate market

Under the Chinese government’s drive to eliminate inefficient and polluting industries, phosphate fertiliser production in China could fall, and reduced Chinese supply is expected to support the phosphate market, according to major producer PhosAgro.

The recent Chinese government policy to cut domestic fertiliser production capacity could support the phosphate market, Russian producer PhosAgro told delegates at the IM Global Phosphate conference on 28 November.
