Shanxi stops all production in Taiyuan due to air pollution

Mineral producing and consuming companies in the capital city of Shanxi province in China have been forced to stop production for the rest of the year due to air pollution problems.

Following criticism from the China Ministry of Environmental Protection regarding air pollution levels in Shanxi province's capital city Taiyuan on November 18, the Taiyuan municipal government decided on November 20 to stop all production until the end of 2016.
