INTERVIEW: Solvay moves to secure Italian soda ash capacity with gas turbine

Announcement follows implementation of a cost saving strategy over the past three years.

A new energy-efficient gas turbine at Solvay’s soda ash plant in Rosignano, Italy will secure the site’s current production capacity, the company said 1 December.

The investment will also ensure long-term competitiveness at the site, the company added.
