Lithium deals for 2017 grind towards closure

A number of annual contracts have been concluded for the coming year, with some large buyers paying double what they did on 2016 deals.

After lengthy negotiations, deals on 2017 annual lithium contracts are starting to be finalised with a number of completed transactions now reported to Industrial Minerals.

Prices have risen significantly from 2016, with market participants arriving at deals around double last year’s range, at levels similar to the current quarterly price range....
