Huawei unveils new graphene-based Li-ion battery

The new battery will be able to function at high temperatures and has double the lifespan of standard Li-ion technology.

Chinese ICT firm Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd has developed a new type of lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery with double the normal life span and the capacity to withstand high temperatures.

The company described the new product, developed through Watt Laboratory, part of Huawei’s Central Research Institute, as "a major breakthrough".
