Albemarle to increase bromine prices

The company cited higher costs of raw material as one of the main reasons driving the increase in prices for brominated flame retardants and some other bromine derivatives.

US-based chemicals producer Albemarle Corp. announced it will increase the price for some of its bromine-based products by 5% from 1 January or as contracts allow.

The company stated the increase will affect select brominated flame retardants and bromine derivatives.
