The Indian government plans to change the way it distributes the fertiliser subsidy causing concern that the new policy could affect potash and phosphate buying in the market.

Many market participants are uncertain about the impact of India’s new government policy to pay fertiliser subsidy directly to farmers, which could affect agriminerals buying in one of the world’s biggest consuming countries.
