Graphite 2017 contracts showing no price change

New year contracts for graphite are being negotiated at the same price levels as the current market rates, as buyers are covering for Q1 while some suppliers hope a rebound in demand may lead to a pickup in prices from Q2 onward.

Buyers of graphite are securing volumes to cover their needs in the early quarters of next year although renewed contracting activity has not been sufficient to lift prices for the mineral.
