Lithium contract prices for 2017 double 2016 levels

Annual contract agreements for the upcoming calendar year have now largely been settled, with prices up sharply from what was paid on material delivered during the current year.

Annual lithium contracts for 2017 delivery in Europe and the US have been agreed at levels roughly double those seen in 2016.

After a protracted period of negotiation, deals have been hammered out between a large number of buyers and sellers, with prices for the battery mineral increasing significantly.
